MABEL COLE

Mabel G. Cole, daughter of Samuel B. and Virginia Imel, was born Feb. 8, 1886, near Newbern, Iowa. She passed away Oct. 6 at the home of her daughter after an illness of 10 months.

The family moved to Chariton when she was six years of age where she grew to young womanhood.

She was united in marriage to Bert B. Cole, June 26, 1907. To this union three children were born, one daughter, Mrs. Alice Schwartz and two sons, Russell B. and Lawrence E. Cole.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ray Schwartz, two sons, Russell and Lawrence Cole, all of Des Moines, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Ruth Sharp of Des Moines and a number of nieces, nephews and many friends survive.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 9, 1965 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The officiating minister for the services was Charles Machuri of Des Moines. Interment was in the Chariton cemetery.
