Woodie was the son of Frank and Anna Bond Ile. He married Eva Catherine McKibben on Aug. 12, 1939 in Henderson, KY. They had four children. Their only son, Jeffry Lynn, died an infant in 1942. His parents, three brothers, one sister, and a grandson also died before him.
His wife, three daughters, two brothers and five grandchildren survive.
He worked 27 years as an oilfield pumper with Collins Bro. Oil Co. Later worked at Champion Labs in maintenance. Woodie retired in 1982.
