Anna Mae Ile, 72, of 594 Shady Side Drive, Chambersburg, PA, died at 9:20 AM, Friday, July 17, 2009 at home. Born December 15, 1936 in Shippensburg she was a daughter of the late Edgar Earl and Edna Mae Kessler Peiper. Anna Mae was a 1954 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She had been employed at the Hoffman Textile Mill in Shippensburg, Knouse Foods in Chambersburg, and the Mulberry Day Care Center in Camp Hill. Anna Mae was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg and was a former member of the Marion, Barnitz, and Shiremanstown units of United Methodist Women. She was a former Sunday School Teacher at Marion United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. John A. Ile, Jr., whom she married June 16, 1956; a daughter, LuAnn E. Mason and husband Robert of Chambersburg; a son, Irwin A. Ile and wife Kimberly of Greencastle; and four grandchildren, Eric Ile of Baltimore, MD, Trevor Ile of Greencastle, and Jessica and Emily Mason of Chambersburg. She is also survived by two sisters, B. Marie Myers and husband Glenn of Newburg, and Melva Scheaffer and husband Ted of Shippensburg; a brother, Edgar K. Peiper (widower of Susan) of Shippensburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. John Dromazos, Rev. Ray Kauffman, and Chaplain John Winckler will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 PM Monday in Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg and from 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 225 South Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201, or to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
