Dora Ijames Killed In Car Accident
Mrs. Dora Ijames, 70, of rural Belleville was killed in a two-car accident near Hudson, Colo., Saturday, April 7, when the car in which she was riding was struck broadside by another automobile.
Her husband, Ralph, was driving the car when he made a left turn on Colorado’s I-80 highway and was hit broadside by Aloysius J. Wisz of Chicago, Ill.
The Ijameses were northbound on I-80 and Wisz was southbound. According to the Colorado Highway Patrol office, Mrs. Ijames was killed instantly and Mr. Ijames is hospitalized in Brighton Community
Hospital with chest injuries and lacerations. Wisz was also admitted to the same hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ijames will be held Thursday, 10 a. m. at the Tibbetts Bros Chapel with burial at Pleasant View cemetery at Ames.

Dora Maria Christine IJames was born to Friedericke and Christ Sass in Dodge County, Nebr., on September 10, 1896, and died on April 7, 1973, at Brighton, Colo., at age of 74 years, six months and 27 days.
She was baptized in the Lutheran church in Snyder, Nebr., in January, 1899 and later Joined the Assembly of God church.
On April 27, 1925 she married Ralph IJames. They lived in Oakland, Calif., for four years and resided in Belleville, for the past thirty years. To this union seven children were born.
One son, Kenneth and two daughters, Bonnie and Carolyn preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph and four sons, Earl Launer, Cheyenne, Wyo., Richard IJames, Houston, Tex., Laverne IJames, Brighton, Colo., Duane IJames, Kansas City, 10 grandchildren and three
great-granchildren, a sister, Clara Hawsea of Scribner, Nebr.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Howard L. Ray from Tibbetts Bros. Chapel on Thursday, April 12, 1973 at 10:00 a.m. Burial was in Pleasant View cemetery, Ames.
