Matthew Newberry Ijames;

Born Davie County, NC.

Joined Co. F, 13th NCT "the Davie Greys" at age 19.
He was wounded and captured twice.

After the War moved to Wayne County Missouri to live near his older brother. He was a farmer, school teacher, constable, justice of the peace and served on the county court before his death 22 Aug. 1910.
