Services for Dr. John Hyslop, Democratic chairman of Ben Avon, will be held at 11 A.M. Monday at the Lester C. McDonald Funeral Home, 529 California Ave., Avalon.
Dr. Hyslop, 61, of 7114 Church Ave., Ben Avon, died at his home on Thursday, June 16.
A 1926 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry, Dr. Hyslop had offices in Pittsburgh and was dentist for the County Jail. He was a member of the Allegheny Council of the Boy Scouts of America and winner of its Silver Beaver Award. Dr. Hyslop was also a member of the Ben Avon Methodist Church, Oakland Lodge 535 F&AM, and the Ben Avon Kiwanis Club.
Surviving are a son, John M. III, of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Sarah Kachel, of Long Island, NY; Miss Martha Hyslop, of Boston, Mass; his mother, Mrs. Martha Hyslop, of Pittsburgh; a brother, James, of Mt. Lebanon; and four grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
