Phyllis L. Therrian, 80, of St. Ignace, died Saturday evening July 5, 2014, at Evergreen Living Center in St. Ignace, following a lingering illness.

She was born April 19, 1934, to Charles and Beatrice (nee Hewer)Huyck at Gros Cap.

She was graduated from high school. She married Howard Therrian May 21, 1955.

Mrs. Therrian was employed at Mackinac Straits Hospital as a cook, and she retired from there after many years.

She was a member of the St. Ignace United Methodist Church and VFW Auxiliary in St. Ignace.

She is survived by two sons and their families, Charles and Tonee Therrian and Mark Therrian, both of St. Ignace; five grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Therrian was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, who died June 23, 1998; a daughter, Joyce Brown, a granddaughter, Emilee Therrian, a brother, Charles Huyck, and two sisters, Charlotte Belonga and Dorrine Hansen.

Graveside services will be Friday, July 11 at 1pm at Gros Cap Cemetery with Pastor Tom Penner officiating.

Dodson Funeral Home in St. Ignace is assisting the family with arrangements.
