Jeanne Bergenholtz

Jeanne Bergenholtz, 72, of Twisp, passed away at her home on Sept. 24, 2006, after a long, brave battle with cancer.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1933, in Prosser, Wash., to Rhoda (Borden) and Hugh Hutson. She moved to Twisp with her family at an early age and grew up on Dog Mountain (Finley Canyon). She attended school at Beaver Creek, Allen Elementary, and then graduated from Twisp High School.
She married Paul Bergenholtz on June 6, 1952. Together they raised four daughters and two sons. They also helped raise many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
"Grandma Jeanne" was devoted to her family and will be remembered as always being there when they needed her. Family was the most important thing in her life. Grandma Jeanne will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
She is survived by her mother, Rhoda Hutson; her sister, Doris (Tommy) Farrow; two brothers, Jim (Jane) Hutson and Donnie (Pat) Hutson; her husband Paul; four daughters, Debby (Henry) Deprati, Libby (Seamus) O'Daimhin, Tracey (Richard) Bynum, and Kerry Bergenholtz; one son, Daniel (April) Bergenholtz; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Hutson and her son, Pernell Bergenholtz. There will be a celebration of Jeanne's life at a later date.
