Donald Lee Hutson 62 of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday October 2, 2012 in his home with family at his side.
Don was born October 1, 1950 in St Louis Mo. son of the late Roy Allen Hutson and Imogene Barrow Hutson. He attended school in St Louis before he and his family moved to Joplin when he and his family moved to Joplin when he was a junior, and he graduated from Joplin High School in 1968. He also attended Missouri Southern State University.
Don was a buyer with O&F Manufacturing and then worked for Maxx Transit and Old Dominion. He then began his buisness, Sign Werks, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2004. He most recently was working at Cycle Connection of Joplin as a greeter.
Don was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and was a volunteer with Freeman Heart Institute, and with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Survivors include his wife Barbara, sons, Scott Hutson and wife Nancy of Miami OK. Brian Hutson and wife Dana of Webb City, step daughters, Crystal Nevins and husband Josh Denham of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sarah Nunnaley of Carl Junction, sister, Pat Arnce and husband Don of Neosho, Mo. six grandchildren, Grant, Mason, Tucker, Conor, Alyssa and Charlee.
Funeral services will be Friday October 5, 2012 at 7p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Signs and Brent Lloyd officiating.
The family will receive friends at Fellowship Baptist Church from 6-7p.m. on Friday, prior to service.
Parker Mortuary is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
