Obituary: Sanford resident Nancy Bernice Hutchins, 63, passed away on Thursday December 23, 2010, after being ill with cancer.

She was born in Pittsfield, Illinois on August 27, 1947 to Wendell Earl Butler and Marjorie Lee (Barker) Butler. She was a past resident of Littleton, Conifer, and Pine, Colorado. She served on the city council of Sanford and three missions with her husband for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter days Saints. She will be greatly missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband Carl Hutchins and son James Rockford (Rocky) Reffel as well as five siblings and their spouses, Greg Butler of Penrose Colo., Ron Butler of Englewood Colo., Karen Moyle of Indian Hills Colo., Kathy Stull of Hartsburg Mo., and John Butler of Agate Colo., and 19 nieces and nephews with many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday December 29 at the Sanford ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow in the Sanford cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

Rogers Family Mortuary is in care of the arrangements.
