Shirley A. Beard, 75, of 204 Vine died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Oct. 28, 1926, in Havana to Fred "Heinie" and Helen Shirley Hursh, she married Donald M. Beard on Jan. 8, 1950, in Havana. He preceded her in death.
One sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas of Naples, Fla., and Craig of Bath; two daughters, Tracy (and George) Porter of Bath and Samantha McGrath of Naples, Fla.; and one sister, Betty (and Charles) Singer of St. Clair, Mich.
She worked as water clerk for the city of Havana. After retiring, she had been a hostess at the Lakewood Supper Club in Bath since 1995.
Cremation will be accorded and burial of ashes will be at a later date in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
