Urvin Bly Huntley, a retired farmer, 78 years of age, a resident of Rudyard, Montana, died Sunday evening, April 22, 1990 at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Urvin was born June 29, 1911 at Hancock, Minnesota and was raised and attended schools there, graduating from Hancock High School in 1928. He came to Montana in 1933. November 24, 1936, he married Renee DeMartin at Havre. After their marriage the couple moved to Hancock, Minnesota where they farmed with his father until 1941. In 1941, Urvin and his father moved near Rudyard, Montana, where they have farmed since then. His family and farming have been his life.
He is survived by his wife of Rudyard, Montana; one son, Roger Huntley of Rudyard; daughters, Joyce Vohs of Lincoln City, Oregon, Linda Spatafore of Great Falls, Montana, and Nanci Dyksterhouse of Belgrade, Montana; ten grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, 1990 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Rudyard, Montana. Pallbearers were Scott Huntley, Jake Dyksterhouse, Tom Spatafore, Jayson Huntley, Shane Huntley and Chet Vohs. Ushers were Fred Elling and Bill Gorder. Burial was at the Rudyard Cemetery.
