Isabel Christie Ballantine of Kennesaw, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior June 15, 2015 at the age of 95 years.
Born in Falkirk, Scotland March 26, 1920, Isabel was a loving mother, wife and homemaker who enjoyed knitting and crafting needlepoint pictures which hang in the family home to this day. She also enjoyed gardening and assisting in the family landscape business. In recent years, she helped to raise two of her great-grandchildren and participated with them in many exciting family adventures. Most noteworthy was a six week camping trip across the United States at the age of 87 years! She will be missed greatly by both friends and family including her faithful border collie Davie B.
Survivors include her daughter Patricia Phillips of Kennesaw, Georgia; sister Cathie Barron of Falkirk, Scotland; grandchildren David Jackson of California, Keith Jackson of Georgia, and Jennifer Jackson of China; and great grandchildren Taylor Cluff, Jordan Jackson, Mia Jackson, Leena Jackson and David Jackson.
Graveside services were held at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside, California where she was laid to rest next to her husband, David Ballantine. A Celebration of Life memorial was held in Kennesaw, Georgia.
