Died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1974, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was a resident of 2250 Myrtle Ave. and a native of Baker. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home with visiting after 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dr. J. Woodrow Herron officiating. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by her husband, Verdie P. Blake, Baton Rouge; a daughter, Miss Grace Matta, Baton Rouge; a son, Dr. Meffre Matta, New Orleans; a sister, Mrs. Laura Hayes, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Anthony Hunt, Lawton, Okla., and Scott Hunt, Virginia; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.
