He was born in Gage, Ellis County, Oklahoma and married Pearl Irene Johnson November 26, 1935 (or 1938) in Lovinton, Lea County, New Mexico. He was a retired employee of Warren Petroleum Company, a Mason, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Wise County, Texas.
He was survived by his wife, Irene; three daughters: Ilaferne Hunt Chilcott of Abilene, Sandra Kay Hunt Kincaid of Wichita Falls and Sue Ann Hunt Hayes of Dallas; four grandchildren; his Mother, Lottie Hunt of Gage, Oklahoma; and two sisters: Hallie Fern Crutcher of Houston and Avil Hulett of Kansas City, Missouri.
Lowell died in the Bridgeport Hospital on October 30, and was buried in the East Bridgeport Cemtery following services in the First Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 1, 1977. Pallbearers were Leonard Walker, Bud James, DAve Johnson, Cecil Wyatt, Charlie McGowen and F.G. Switzer. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Warren Petroleum Comany.
