Delbert D. Hunt, 73-year-old resident of Zachary, died yesterday at Our Lady of the Lake sanitarium, following a lengthy illness. Hunt was a life-long resident of Zachary; and a member of the Methodist faith; and the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mattie White of Zachary; one son, Luther L. Hunt of Zachary; three daughters, Mrs. Ivy Barksdale of Baton Rouge, Mrs. A.J. Gaston, Sr., of Baton Rouge and Mrs. T.A. Ayer of Zachary; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
