Mrs. Esther J. Hunsinger, 87, of Waycross died early Sunday morning at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Lockhaven, Pennsylvania to the late George W. Jeirles and Alice F. Jeirles. Mrs. Hunsinger had made Waycross her home since 1969. She worked in numerous sewing factories as a seamstress. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the V.F.W. Post 4382. Mrs. Hunsinger loved going to auctions and most of all loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, T. Wilson Hunsinger, a son-in-law, Curtis Tyler, a granddaughter, Stacia Tyler and a sister, Ruby Weaver.

Mrs. Hunsinger is survived by two sons, Emerson James "Jim" Hunsinger and his wife Carole of Waycross, Theodore Wilson Hunsinger of Brunswick, a daughter, April Joy Tyler of Blackshear, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandson, two sisters, Frances Hesser of Altoona, Pennsylvania, Hope Knisely of Howard, Pennsylvania and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., on Wednesday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home.
