Edith May Boyd, 97, of rural Frankfort, died at 10:37 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at her residence.
Born July 22, 1912, in White County, she was the daughter of Alva A. and Callie May Cadwallader Hunley.
On June 7, 1934, she married Donald E. Boyd in Tipton, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1998. She attended Klondike School in Tippecanoe County before graduating from Tipton High School.
Mrs. Boyd had worked for Pioneer Seed Corn in Tipton and also for Peoples Life Insurance Co. in Frankfort and Indianapolis.
She was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church, Clinton County Extension Homemakers and Mulberry Methodist Craft Ladies, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Purdue Boilermakers fan.
Surviving are a son, Larry E. Boyd (wife: Marlene K.) of rural Frankfort; a sister, Geneva Faucett of Frankfort; and a niece who was raised in the Boyd home, Sharon Hill of Frankfort.
Also surviving are a grandson, Kim E. Boyd (wife: Michelle) of rural Frankfort; 3 granddaughters, Shelly L. Surber (husband: Randy) of Mulberry, Julia K. Huffer (husband: Jim) of rural Mulberry and Dana M. Burton (husband: Shawn) of rural Frankfort; 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Services there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, Pastor Dave Hummel officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.
