Capt. Amaziah Humphrey was born on 28 January 1754 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Benajah Humphrey Jr. and Caroline Humphrey. He married Elizabeth Harris 24 Nov 1774. The couple had 7 children. Capt. Amaziah Humphrey died on 26 February 1822 at age 68.
