Daughter of Shubal Butterfield and Jerusha W Burchard.

Our village is again cast into sorrow and mourning. Mrs. Hulburd, wife of Hon. Calvin T. Hulburd died on Monday (9/7/1891) in Brasher Falls, NY

She was taken ill on Tuesday last, and died quietly and peacefully as she had lived. She was an exceptionally good Christian lady, a member of the Presbyterian Church, a Sabbath school teacher and one of the most enthusiastic of its members. The church has lost a valuable member as also has society.

She was always found where sickness and sorrow were, and it can truthfully be said a woman without an enemy in the world; kind, loving and charitable toward all. Her doors were ever open to the poor and needy and she always gave with a willing band.

She was 73 years old June, the 30th. She was married on her birthday 49 years ago last June. Everything that could be done to relieve her of her suffering was done, but God called and a dearly cherished wife had to go. Mr. Hulburd and his daughter have the sympathy of all the community in their sad loss.
