"Eldean Vivian Aldrich - Eldean Vivian Aldrich was born in Los Angeles, California on July 30, 1921. Her father, Donald Hulbert owned and operated a delivery food and meat market at Third Street and La Brea. Her mother, Vivan Hulbert was a housewife and an exquisite seamstress. She had a younger sister, Gail. Eldean graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1939 and attended UCLA, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She met her future husband, Donald Boughton, Sr. in the first year of high school and married just prior to World War II in 1941. She lived briefly in Oakland, California while her husband was stationed in the Navy. After World War II, they resided in Burbank, then Northridge and eventually settled in Glendale. Eldean had two sons, Donald Boughton Jr., and Dennis Scott and one daughter, Diane Eldean. Donald just recently relocated to Reno, Nevada and Diane resides in La Canada. Dennis her youngest son, passed away in 1999. She belonged to the Oakmont Country Club for many years where she enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Eldean also traveled a great deal, playing golf and vacationing, which became a big part of her life. In 2002, she was the First Lady at Oakmont Country Club. She was an avid reader of suspense and fiction novels, which gave her great pleasure. she also was an excellent seamstress and made gifts for her family and friends. In addition, she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends for holidays and various celebrations. With such an optimist view on life, she was involved in the Lady Optimist Organization with her husband when she lived in Burbank and was active in various guild charities. She was an amazing warm and elegant hostess with a gift for making everyone feel welcome in her home. Her family was the priority in her life and she was an eloquent gentle lady who touched many peopls' lives with her kindness and love. She was definitely the heart of our family. She will be greatly missed, but with many treasured memories will be remembered always. She is survieved by her loving husband, Donal Sr.; her children, Don Jr. and his wife Vickie Diane, and Diane Eldean; her grandsons, Jim and his wife Annushka, Dan and his wife Nedda,; and Trevor; her granddaughters, Nancy Diane and Pamela Eldean, and six great grandchildren, Natalie, Collette, Monique, Jordan, Caleb and Jillian."
