Andy was born in Berwyn, Illinois to Reindert and Tjarda Huizinga. He was an air traffic controller for FAA and proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John and a brother-in-law, Mel VanDenend. He was survived by his wife, Eva; daughters, Amy and Ron Langeveld, Marie and Chris Boyer and a son, Andy Huizinga, Jr; step-children, Terry, Tim, Quintin, Julie, Debbie and Connie; two sisters, Alvina VanDenend and Jackie and Hank Speelman; a sister-in-law, Jean Huizinga; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dear Dad… I miss you… Thank you for the times we spent, the tears we shared and all the laughs we had. I'm sorry for the things I said, the things I didn't say and the things I did. Your time on this earth seemed short to me, I wish I would have had more time but I suppose we all wish that. You are and will always be my Hero. I Love You Dad. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 30th from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Buchanan Funeral Service. Service to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM, Friday, Jan. 31st at First Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Frisco Cemetery.
