Natalie Ann Hugo age 50, formerly of Richmond died Friday, January 6, 2012 in Grand Marais, MI. as the result of a snowmobile accident. Natalie was born October 29, 1961 in Mount Clemens Michigan to John and Sherle (Trombly) Oprita. She married Douglas Hugo in New Baltimore on December 11, 1981. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1979 and earned her associate and R.D.H. degrees from Oakland Community College in 1985. She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. James Batuk, DDS in Marysville. Natalie was an active member of Holy Trinity Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church in Port Huron where she served with the Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed horseback riding, snowmobiling and riding with her husband on their Harley. She was a dedicated helper at the soup kitchen in Port Huron. She is survived by her husband, Douglas, parents; John and Sherle Oprita of Port Huron, mother-in-law; Fran Hugo of St. Clair, siblings; Nichol and Matt Phillipoff of Atlanta, GA. and Nathan and Jaime Oprita of Fort Gratiot, brothers-in-law; Dale and Gigi Hugo of Lenox and Dennis and Meg Hugo of Hulbert and several nieces and nephews, many of whom she was a loving Godmother to. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law; Lloyd Hugo on November 3, 1985.
