Fidelis Marie Hugo Dyjak of Freeland, Michigan.
Fidelis Hugo was born on April 2, 1927 to Victor and Nellie (Ribard) Hugo, who preceeded her in death. She married Edward Dyjak on April 27, 1946. Tuttie and Ed's children, Linda (George) Neuenfeldt, Freeland, and David (Karen) Dyjak of Bay City also survive them. Missing their Grandma are Linda's daughters, Wendee (Bill) Lyons and Jan Neuenfeldt (special friend James Foulds) of Freeland, and David's daughters, Holly (John) Rinz of August, Amy (Matt) Wazny of Glendale, Ariz., and Melanie Dyjak of Bay City. Tuttie and Ed own and operated Dyjak .... They made pallets and agricultural containers. Ed and Tuttie moved to Lutz, Florida in 1985, where they resided until Ed's death on March 29,1998.
Tuttie was one of 11 children and is survived by siblings Eugene (Lorraine) Hugo, DeWayne Hugo, Donna Sucholdolski, Harold (Margie) Hugo, Dennis Hugo, Randy Hugo, Nellie Noteboom and Victoria Dahl, and will join her sister Nadine Grudzinski and brother Victor Hugo.
Tuttie liked to attend activities at the Freeland Senior Citizens Center, and had many special friends there who will also miss her. She always enjoyed the holiday parties, playing games, and making crafts with others.
Sr. Anne LeHale, Pastoral Minister at St. Agnes of Freeland spent a lot of time with Fidelis, and always tried to visit her when she was hospitalized. Fr. Larry Paschak, pastor of St. Agnes of Freeland has also been instruments in her faith formation in past years.
Tuttie enjoyed embroidery, ceramics and hobby painting. She loved working on proects and making them as life-like as possible. Tuttie did many wildlife projects-they were her favorite-and she did a wonderful job on them! She was always working on one project or another-and loved to share her gifts with others. She also enjoyed doing crafts with her great grandchildren, Maryssa, Rachyl and Jayson Lyons, Brittney and Beau Deal. They will miss their holiday tradition of making ornaments with Grandma "D".
Fidelis passed away early Monday morning, December 1, 2003 at her home. She was 76 years old.....
