Mrs. Boineau was born November 23, 1911 in Metter, GA, daughter of the late James Jefferson Hughes and Henrietta Beard Hughes. She attended schools in Bamberg County. She was a member of The Episcopal Church Women of Christ-St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was also an Honorary Member of the St. Paul's Garden Club.
Survivors include one son; John H. Boineau and his wife Caroline of Meggett, SC, three grandchildren; Stephanie B. Tumbleston and John Youmans Boineau of Meggett, SC and Sarah Boineau Black of Greer, SC, six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and one brother; James Wenzell Hughes of Bamberg.
