The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, in the Baptist Church of Beaufort, with burial in Beaufort Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bessinger was born July 26, 1919, in Orangeburg, a daughter of Monnie Pickering Hughes and Ben Gary Hughes. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Beaufort. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Bessinger Bishop of Beaufort; a granddaughter, Angela B. Sibley of Beaufort, who cared for her during the past year; and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Beaufort, 996-B Ribaut Road, Beaufort, SC
