Thomas J. Hughes, 93, of the King Home in Evanston and formerly of Lake Forest, died July 11 at Westmoreland Nursing Care in Lake Forest. Mr. Hughes was born Sept. 25, 1906 in Plainfield, N.J. He was a retired National Account Manager of Mosler Safe Co. Mr. Hughes was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest. Survivors include his sons, Thomas J. "Jim" (Margi) Hughes III of Evanston and John D. "Dave" Barbara) Hughes of Algonquin; and his two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Weimann Hughes in 1988. A funeral Mass was celebrated July 14 at the Church of St. Mary. Interment was in St .Mary Cemetery, Lake Forest.
