Ronald W. Hughes was born on March 13, 1933 in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on November 24, 2011. Ronald was a lifelong resident of Oak Cliff and graduated from Adamson High School, the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and SMU. In 1947 he joined with his father in beginning a new family business, the Dudley M. Hughes Funeral Home. He spent the next 50 years of his life devoted to building the family funeral business. He was preceded in death by his parents Dudley M. & Margueritte Hughes and his brother, Dudley M. Hughes, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Frances; sons, Ronald W. Hughes, Jr. and wife, Penny and DeWayne D. Hughes and wife Stephanie; daughters, Rhonda Montee and husband, Jim and Ronna McAuley and husband, Barney; grandchildren, Krista, Joey, Megan, Chelsea, Nicholas, Ryan, Tyler & Lauren; sisters Cheree Jeter and husband, Dennis and Michele Tinch and husband, Jeff; sister-in-law, Trema Hughes and numerous other family members. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Hughes North Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Hughes North Chapel. Private committal service and entombment will follow at the Crown Hill Mausoleum.
