Early Life: He was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah, on March 23, 1932, to Melvin Greenwood and Eldean Leah Barney Huggard.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On January 11, 1956, he married his sweetheart, Fae Greenwood in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He worked and retired from the Alpine school District. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he was dedicated in serving others throughout his life. Cheering others who were there to help him after suffering his stroke with his big smile of appreciation. Garth Melvin Huggard, of American Fork, Utah, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 27, 2015 due to Alzheimer's and stroke. He was 83.

Survived By: His wife, Fae; children: Randy (Christine) Huggard, Marcia (Brian) Weeks, Cheryl (Chris) Nicholes, Craig Huggard; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Jolene DeMarco.
Preceded In Death By: His parents; a sister, Karen Huggard Madsen Rudolph; and two grandsons, John McClure and Christopher Nichols.
