The first white child born in Niles Township was Emily J. Beckwith who was born 13 May 1855, the daughter of Joseph and Lucinda Wood Beckwith.




Wife of Ruben S. Huffman.

Their daughters included Nettie May Huffman Crooks and Rozanna Malliccie Huffman Crooks, who were both wives of George Washington Crooks, and Almina Lucinda Huffman Crooks, who was the wife of George Washington Crooks' brother Samuel George Crooks.
