Mrs. Howe was born November 4, 1930, in Hampton, a daughter of the late Ralph and Margie Huff. She was a beautician in Abbottstown for 35 years. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Abbottstown. She was also a member of Eastern Star in New Oxford. She is survived by her husband, James J. Howe, to whom he was married for 53 years; one daughter, Sharon R. Myers of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
