Mrs. Ann Hudson Almond, 79, of Salisbury, N.C., passed away Thursday, June 11, 2008 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.
She was born Feb. 8, 1929 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late James Giles Hudson and Annie Belle Cruse.
Mrs. Almond was a graduate of Boyden High School and Catawba College. She was a biology teacher at West Rowan High School.
Survivors include son, Jacob Franklin Almond, Jr. and wife, Sally, of Kingston, Tenn.; daughters, Catherine Barrett and husband, Tommy, of Fayetteville, N.C., Dr. Cynthia Almond Jones and husband, David, of Salisbury, N.C., and Carol Almond of Boone, N.C.; six grandchildren, James Barrett and wife, Sarah; David Barrett, Erin Jones, Daniel Jones, Suzanne Almond, and Jacob F. Almond, III.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jacob Franklin Almond.
