William Franklin HUDSON, 89, died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Warsaw.
He was born Nov. 23, 1899 in Miami County to Charles W. and Eva MURPHY HUDSON. He moved to the Warsaw area in 1980 from Akron. On July 26, 1919 at Warsaw, he married Alta KERCHER, who died May 16, 1986. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Olive Branch Church of God at Roann and the Warsaw American Legion, and was a charter member of World War I Barracks 83 at Warsaw.
Surviving are two sons, William F. HUDSON, Jr., and Jerry C. HUDSON Sr., both of Mentone; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Olive HUDSON, Roann, and Dorothy TRUEX, Denver, and four brothers, Clyde, Homer, Oren and Paul HUDSON, all of Roann. A son preceded in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Wayne JOHNSON officiating. Burial will be in the Gilead Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
