Alta Hudson Shelbyville

Alta May Hudson, 95, of Shelbyville, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 24, 1996) at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Memorials may be given to Lincolnland Hospice or the Cowden United Methodist Church.

She was born June 7, 1900, in Assumption, the daughter of Charles and Dora Small Hall. She married Roscoe Pearl Hudson Nov. 29, 1924, in Lakewood, and he died in November 1965.

Surviving are a son, Delmar Hudson and wife Betty of Cowden; sisters, Gladys Martin of Decatur and Norma Polk of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Larry Hudson and wife Diane and Mike Hudson and wife Sharon, all of Decatur; and three great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Velma; one brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Cowden United Methodist Church and was affiliated with the Moulton Methodist Church in Shelbyville.
