Comer Hudson
ARCOLA — Comer Ree Hudson, 70, of Arcola died at 5:30 p.m. Monday (Feb. 19, 1990) in his home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, with the Rev. Terry Ford officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 5, 1919, in Red Boiling Spring, Tenn., the son of John B. and Sarah E. Shrum Hudson. He married Norma J. Huckstep on Feb. 26, 1949, in Tuscola; she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Willard, Jerry and Paul Hudson, all of Arcola, and Dillard Hudson of Aldena; four daughters, Carol A. Smith, Jeanette Harris and Paula N. Henderson, all of Arcola, and Jeannine Hudson of Urbana; two brothers, Charles Hudson of Trilla and Hubert Hudson of Madison, Tenn.; two sisters, Alma Lee Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., and Della Huff of Mattoon; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and a son.
Mr. Hudson was a retired security guard at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
