MATHEWS- George Arthur Hudgins, 61, of Gwynn, died Wednesday night, January 26, 1966 in a Newport News hospital.

He was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church, Gwynn, and Mathews Post No. 83, the American Legion. He had been a U.S. mail carrier here for about eight years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hortense Hudgins of Gwynn; and two brothers, Ervy Hudgins of Gwynn and Boyd Hudgins of Bradenton, Fla.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, conducted by the Rev. Henry E. Shuck, pastor of Shiloh Methodist Church. Burial was in Gwynn's Island cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frank Hudgins, Jr., Ervy Milton Hudgins, Malvin Hudgins, Alvin Williams, Presley Williams and W. E. Bensten.
