Virginia Ruth (Huddleston) Berry, age 93, of Fulton, Missouri, died Saturday, February 1, 2003 at Fulton Manor Care Center in Fulton.

She was born May 25, 1909, in Hatton, Missouri, a daughter of the late Spotswood H. "Speck" and Maudie Emily (Bates) Huddleston. She married William V. "Bill" Berry on March 15, 1936, in Eldon, Missouri. He preceeded her in death.

Survivors include four children, Ruth Berry Long of Waynesville, Missouri; William S.H. Berry of St. Louis, Missouri; Trudy Dysart of Fulton, Missouri and Glendia Walker of Columbia, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Vicki Long Martinez of Kansas City, Missouri, R. Berry Long of Parkville, Missouri, Douglas E. Long of Jefferson City, Missouri, Colin P. Long of Waynesville, Missouri, Kendall L. Calvin of Springfield, Missouri, William D. Roland of Edwardsville, Illinois, Mark D. Roland of Columbia, Missouri, Andrew N. Dysart of Portland, Oregon and Judy Dysart Atkins of Bryant, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Colby and Ben Martinez and Drew, Nicolas and Zachary Roland and Harrison Long.

She was also preceeded in death by a brother.

Mrs. Berry worked as a nurses aide at Fulton State Hospital in Fulton. She was a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary. She served as chairwoman of the Easter Seal Charity in the early 1950's. She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church of Fulton.

A celebration of life is at 1PM, Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverand John Hoos officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetary in Fulton.

Visitation is from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Fulton Manor Care Center.
