|Death: ||Dec., 1886|
Daughter of John Huddleston and Nancy (Gum) Huddleston.
Married Thomas Jefferson Braswell 27/Jan/1877 at Oregon Co., MO.
Mother of Sarnem "Odey", Nova, Lola, John Lemuel and William "Herbert".
She was the first person buried in the Huddleston Cemetery; located on her father's farm.
Family history is that before she died, Artemisia "Mishie" said she was afraid of the rain and asked that rain not be allowed on her grave. In response, when she died and was buried, an iron fence enclosure was built around her grave and for a number of years the family kept a canvas tarp over the grave. This enclosure remained until about a year ago (2008), when a cousin replaced it because it was in such disrepair. He replaced it with another enclosure, built as a tribute to Mishie as the first one buried in the Huddleston Cemetery.
