``Woody' Hubbard Jr. age 75, of Austin, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Texas Highway Department. Woody was a 3rd generation Austinite. Woody is preceded in death by his parents, Elwood W. Hubbard Sr. and Allene Hubbard. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dee Hubbard of Austin; sons, Edward V. Hubbard of Amarillo, Kenneth W. Hubbard and wife, Cheryl of Granite Shoals, Richard M. Hubbard and wife, Cheryl of Cedar Park and David G. Hubbard and wife, Agnes of Boerne; grandchildren, Brook McGinnis, David Beltran, Casey Hubbard, Scott Hubbard, Rachel Hubbard, Caleb Hubbard and Zachary Hubbard and great grandchildren, Nathan Beltran and Bryce Beltran. Honoring Mr. Hubbard as pallbearers will be Brian Boswell, Sylvester Ruffin, Michael Luckey, Stuart Gitlin, Frank Cutler Jr. and Fred Cutler. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank K. Cutler Sr., James E. Henery, and Tom Meola. We would like to thank Dr. Michael Schindel and all the staff at Cornerstone Hospital, Burnet Rd. Special thanks to Donna, Jonathan, Barbara and Marica in the ICU. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2004, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2004, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home . Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
