Mr. Hubbard was born on April 13, 1926 in Hooks, Texas and passed on February 2, 2016 at TMFH.
He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hubbard graduated Prairie View A & M University with a B S Degree in Agriculture. Taught school at Roxton, Powderly and Beckville, Texas. Appointed to a position with the US Soil Conservation Services in May 1966 until retirement November 1990. Served as Past President of the East Texas State Fair two terms, member of East Texas Farm and Ranch Club, Board of Adjustments for the City of Tyler, member of Smith County Appraisal Board. He was also Chairman of the Trustee Board, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church.
He is survived by wife Mary Elizabeth, children Deborah, Michael, Stephen Hubbard all of Tyler, Ronald Hubbard, Decatur, Georgia; Regenia Gunter, Wintergreen, Florida; Carlton Hubbard, Houston, Texas; brother Henry Ellis, San Diego, California, host of grand, great, great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing Monday 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
