Monday, August 3, 1992.

"Betty M. Hays, 62, of 53 Rancho Villa died Aug. 2, 1992, at St. Mary Medical Center.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate.
Mrs. Hays was born Nov. 1, 1929, in Kennewick to Clifford R. and Stella M. (Edwards) Hubbard. She graduated from Kennewick High School in 1951. She married Erwin L. Hays on Jan. 6, 1951.
A homemaker and mother, she enjoyed cooking large holiday meals for her family, spending time with her grandchildren, camping, traveling and playing pinochle with the Rancho Willa Card Club. She also enjoyed craft projects, sewing, gardening and growing flowers.
She was a member of the Senior Citizens AARP and Rancho Villa Card Club.
Mrs. Hays is survived by her husband, at the home; two daughters, Cora Lee Purves of Yakima and Glenda Thompson of Walla Walla; a son, Mike L. Hays of Walla Walla; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Hays, her parents; a brother; and a sister."
