Nathaniel Hubbard was born Dec 10, 1652 in Middletown, CT, the son of George & Elizabeth Watts Hubbard. He married Mary Earle, daughter of John & Mary Webb Earle, on May 29, 1682 in Middletown, CT. Among their children was a daughter Abigail (1686-1755) who married Jonathan Burr.
Nathaniel died May 20 1738 in Middletown, CT. His wife is also buried at Riverside Cemetery.

"Nathaniel contributed 15s, his brothers Joseph 15s, Daniel 10s and Richard 6s toward the first church bell used in Middletown, which supplanted the drum. Extract from Colonial Records -- Hartford, May 12, 1692: 'This Court doe for the present upon good consideration and till farther Order free Nath'l Hubbard from Training.' He lived at Long Hill on the cross roads,"
