Mrs. Ralph Barber, 65, for many years a resident of this area, died Thursday of last week at Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months.

Born in West Chicago, Illinois, she lived most of her life in this community.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Clarence of Fullerton and Roy of Belgrade; two brothers, Clarence and Dexter Hoy of Fullerton and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon with Reverend Charles Funk in charge. Robert Fitzgerald was organist and Misses Winifred Funk and Mary Lou Heal, soloists. Clay Johnson of Belgrade, Keith Trotter, Harvey Whited, R. O. Swanson, Wallace Travers and Lawrence Young were pall bearers and burial was made in the Fullerton cemetery.


Mrs. Ralph Barber, who died March 18, 1952 in the Fullerton Memorial Hospital, was born Luella Alice Hoy on September 25, 1887 in West Chicago, Illinois. Her
parents were Jacob and Mary Tart Hoy. Having lived most of her life in Nance County, death came to her quietly after an illness of serveral months.

On January 8, 1908 she was married to Ralph E. Barber at Fullerton, NE. by Rev. E.C. Wright of the M.E. Church. To them were born two sons; Clarence M. Barber of Fullerton and Roy E. Barber of Belgrade.

Besides her husband and two sons, Mrs. Barber is survived by two brothers, Clarence and Dexter Hoy, of Fullerton and by two grandchildren, Roger and Rodney Barber, of Belgrade. Many other relatives and friends mourn her passing.

Her home and her family were her whole life, and to them she gave herself unsparingly. Innumerable hours, both early and late, were spent in persuit of her life-long hobby, crocheting.

She was a good neighbor and faithful friend.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Saturday afternoon, March 15, with burial in the Fullerton cemetery. Reverend Charles Funk officiated.
