Miss Howlett was born March 29, 1910, in Charleston, the daughter of Joseph and Pearl Marshall Howlett.
She taught in the Charleston Elementary School for several years and retired in 1972. She has lived in Monticello for five and one-half years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleston.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Byron (Martha) Howlett; and two nephews, John Joe and Col. Byron Howlett.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at McMikle Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery here.
