Dorothy was the daughter of Leslie and Mary Elizabeth (O'Keefe) Howland.
She resided in Littleton, N.H., where as a registered CNA she worked at Willows Nursing Home in Franconia. She was active with Littleton Eagles No. 2629 and was State Auxilliary president in 1974.
In her retirement she resided winters at Leisure Days in Zephyrhills, Fla.
She loved walking the beaches of Siesta Key. In the summer months she returned to New England to spend time with family.
She was an avid reader, loved gardening, and theme parks, and enjoyed special times around a campfire. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. Family members include six children, Linda Starbird of Rockland, Maine, Armand Charbonneau of Littleton, N.H., Shelly Kydd of Tyngsborough, Nancy Charbonneau of Reading, Robyn Mason of Littleton, N.H., and Cheryl Smith of Lowell; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florence King of Lebanon, N.H.
