Eugena (Howes) Anderson
Bucksport- Eugena B. Anderson, 78, died April 16, 1990, at a Portland hospital, after a brief illness. She was born at Ashland, Sept. 13, 1911, the daughter of Fred and Lizzie (McPherson) Howes. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Bucksport Senior Citizens and attended the Sandy Point Congrgational Church. She is survived by five children, Natalie McFarland of Bucksport; Donna Anderson of Portland; David Anderson of Bangor; Mark Anderson of Hartland and Gayle Manning of East Longmeadow, Mass.;11 grandchildren, Jean Colbert of Topsfield, Mass., Gwen Rogers of Portland, Andrea Caldwell of Pembroke, NH, Kenneth Anderson of Limestone, Heather Anderson of Bangor, Lisa Dodd of Titusville, Fla., Correne Prevost of Enfield, Conn., Hunter Anderson and Justin Anderson of Hartland. Carly Manning and Katie Manning of East Longmeadow, Mass.; 8 great-grandchildren, Kyle Mangawang, Mya Mangawang, Tristin Caldwell, Lauren Caldwell and Jeremy Caldwell of Pembroke, NH, Rachel Dodd, Ashley Dodd and Frank Dodd of Titusville, Fla.; 7 brothers and sisters, Beatrice Hoffses of Mapleton, Della Coro of Bristol, Conn., Fredena Adams of Fairfielf, Harriet Scott of Bucksport, Isaac Howes of Unity, Kay St Peter of Portgage Lake and Merton Howes of Lake City, Fla. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Harley D. Anderson; a daughter, Beverly Prevost. Friends may call 7-9pm Wednesday at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, Bucksport, where funeral services will be held 11am Thursday with the Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Interment will be in Ashland Cemetery, Ashland. Donations may be made in her memory to the Buck Memorial Library Building Fund, PO Box DD, Bucksport 04416.
