MAGLEY WOMAN IS CLAIMED BY DEATH
Mrs. Charles Dettinger Dies This Morning Following Heart Attack
Mrs. Rosetta Dettinger, 65, wife of Charles Dettinger, died at 5 a.m. today at her home in Magley. Death was due to a heart attack, following an illness of a week.
Mrs. Dettinger, a lifelong resident of Adams County, was born Feb. 5, 1876, in Decatur, a daughter of John and Emma Smith Hower. Her marriage took place Oct. 14, 1893.
Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Kell of Van Wert, O., and Mrs. Beatrice Hower, of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; two brothers, E. E. Hower, of Decatur and Dallas Hower of Sapulpa, Okla., and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Sheller of Huntington. A son, Ralph, died in 1916 and another son died in infancy.
The body will be taken from the Jahn funeral home late this evening to the residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beulah Methodist church in Kirkland Township, of which Mrs. Dettinger was a member, in charge of Rev. Matthew Worthman, of this city, assisted by Rev. Arthur of Decatur. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery.
