A member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown, since 1958, Delores volunteered at the Masonic Village assisting with dementia patients. Delores enjoyed socializing with her close neighbors as well as sewing and dancing. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Sherry D. (Steven) Barbour, Mount Joy; Suzanna K. (Fred) Keefer, Columbia; Robin L. (Carmany) Swope, Elizabethtown, and Frank H. (companion Eileen Marks, Harrisburg) Ember Jr., Elizabethtown; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five siblings, Patsy E. Bunger, Maryland; Nancy L. (Edward C.) Fackler, Mount Joy; Terry "Fred" (Nancy D.) Hower, Landisville; Donald J. (Doris) Hower, Williamsburg, VA; and Deborah A. Hower, Columbia; a sister-in-law, Nancy Putt Hower, Elizabethtown. Delores was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles M. and Edwin R. Hower.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial from St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. with Fr. David L. Danneker as celebrant. Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Tunnel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Delores' memory to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, 2397 Quentin Road, Suite B, Lebanon, PA 17042 or to the American Heart Association."

Delores Marquerite Ember
Delores Marquerite Ember, fondly known as "Dee," would have celebrated 56 years of marriage with her husband, Frank Sr., this coming May. Dee is also survived by 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
