NAVESINK--Frank Hower, 91, of Monmouth Ave., died Monday after a long illness. Mr. Hower, husband of the late Ida Mae Stearns Hower, was born in Long Branch. He lived in Navesink from infancy.
He was a retired mason contractor. An exempt fireman, he wa one of the oldest members of the Navesink Fire company.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Evans and Mrs. Lillian Welsh of Navesink, and Mrs. Pauline Schooley of Wilmette, Ill.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Mae Duncan of Red Bank; one great-grandson, and two brothers, Louis Hower of Rumson and Harry Hower of Orange.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. from the late residence with Rev. Charles P. Johnson of All Saints Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Fire company services will be conducted at the residence tonight at 8 o'clock.
