Beatrice Hower, Retired Teacher, Dies In Cleveland

Mrs. Beatrice I. Hower, 64, of 4930 Woodhurst Blvd. , a retired teacher in Fort Wayne Community Schools, died at 7 a.m. yesterday in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, where she had been a patient one week.

She was a native of Magley and had last taught at Indian Village school. She had been a teacher 25 years, and was a member of Simpson Methodist Church and its Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association.

Surviving are her husband, Alton P.; a sister, Mrs. G. F. Kell, Van Wert , Ohio ; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Chalfant-Perry-Klaehn Funeral Home, Dr. Evan Bergwall officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery , Decatur .

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
